During one of the episodes of the ongoing Big Brother Naija Double Wahala Reunion show, Ex-housemate Anto Lecky accused the Organizers of last season BBN for scripting the show and playing it according to public opinion.
This is what she said:
“My eviction and that of Lolu was scripted. There were eviction days when we had like 98% or 109% votes. So there were inconsistencies in the votes… And you are telling me my eviction was based on votes, that’s complete bullshit!
“You don’t have to like me or my 3% fans but you can’t tell me there weren’t inconsistencies in the voting data that was presented…nor can you tell me the show script didn’t feed off of public opinion. It’s the fact’’
Anto was the first housemate in the history of Big Brother Naija to be voted back into the house when Big brother decided to reset the game and bring back two ex-housemates. She came back into the show a week after her eviction alongside Khloe who was disqualified three weeks into the show.
Anto and Khloe were however evicted three weeks after their second stay in the house alongside Lolu; barely a week before the grand finale. According to Anto they were brought back into the house and evicted just when Big Brother wanted to. She equally couldn’t understand why Lolu her romantic partner was evicted together with her and Teddy A was evicted just after Bambam.
Bitto who was amongst the first housemates to be evicted also shared the opinion of Anto and agreed that the vote tallies were inconsistent in some weeks.
Reacting to what the housemates said, the host of the show Ebuka-Obi Uchendu said Lolu was evicted because traditionally, the show always has only five finalists and there was no need keeping Lolu in the house when there were already five finalists. Ebuka added that the show is not just a Nigerian or African affair but it’s in fact owned by Endemol, a global production company and the voting results are counted and tallied by Deloitte, an American Company. He said these two companies have been known for their high standing reputation, integrity and objectivity over the years. So, there is no way the companies would compromise these for any reason.
Song writer, Actress and 1st runner of Big Brother Naija Season 2 (See Gobe), Bisola Aiyeola has also reacted to the claims of the housemates.
She tweeted and said the finalist deserved to make it to the final and she personally thinks Miracle the winner got the votes of a majority of the audience. She added that the brand has its integrity to protect and thus wont temper with votes. She also cautioned Anto and other ex-housemates not to bite the fingers that fed them just because they didn’t get enough of what they wanted.
Princess who was amongst the first housemates to be evicted also thinks her eviction was unfair because Big Brother put up all housemates for eviction on the week she was evicted based on the argument that they all engaged in conspiracy prior to the nominations. According to her, Big Brother should have nominated only the housemates who conspired and not the entire house.
K-Brule who was disqualified together with Khloe also thinks his disqualification was unjust. He thinks the first strike that was issued to him on the basis on self-harm was not supposed to be a strike because he doesn’t understand what self-harm is. According to him, his jump from the bedroom to the first floor should have been considered an accident because though he had intentions to jump, he didn’t jump successfully.
Reacting to K-Brule, Ebuka said while in the house, K-Brule was Big brother’s responsibility and thus Big brother had all rights to sanction him even when he engaged in a violent action against himself.
