Bomb Explodes Killing 4 Policemen In Eyumojock, Manyu Division Of The Crisis Hit South West Region Of Cameroon

A bomb has exploded today June 15, 2019 in Ottu village leading to the death of four policemen and injuring over five others. Ottu village is found in Eyumojock subdivision in the Manyu division of the restive South West region of Cameroon.
According to sources, the policemen were on patrol when the locally made explosive blew their vehicle off from the ground leading to the death of the four policemen. The police van was destroyed completely and on the scene, we can see what appear to be foodstuffs and other materials and equipment probably coming from the van.

It is alleged that suspected separatist fighters are behind the attack.
According to Cameroon News Agency, the four police men killed in the attack are:

GPX1 DIBWE ESSOH
The injured are:
IP1 ONDJA’A JEAN
GPX1 MBALLA ZAMBO
GPX1 MONEYE EBANGA
GPX1 MONTHE ERIC
GPX1 OWONA BOKALI
Two policemen survived the explosion uninjured. They are:
GPX1 MAN DEY ULRICH (Driver)
OP1 BATHEU BLERIOT

This is one of the very few explosions that have been recorded since the start of the armed conflict in the South West and North West regions of Cameroon. Bombs have not been frequently used in the conflict. The first bomb explosion since the start of the conflict was recorded in Mamfe, still in the Manyu division in 2018.
