Hello… You’re welcome. Today we are going to profile top 10 best Cameroonian male musicians/singers/artists in 2019. This ranking is limited to Kamer URBAN artists ONLY. Well, we may do a ranking for old timers and cultural artists later. That is if our readers are interested in that.
Our first and most important criterion for this classification of top 10 best Cameroonian musicians 2019 was views and suggestions from our readers. So they have influenced the nature and structure of this by over 70%.
Secondly, how well these singers have represented and made Cameroon proud on the international scene was also considered.
Thirdly, the quality of the songs they do.
Finally, what is the life of an artist without the social media? Social media presence was our final criterion.
It’s important to note that though this classification is done in 2019, it is not limited only to 2019. This means, we didn’t focus only on what these artists have been up to this year. We also looked at what they have done in the last few years.
After reading this, tell us if you think someone is missing on this classification or maybe, deserves to get a better rating that they did.

10. Blaise B
Blaise B is a Cameroonian Super amazing singer who is signed to Alpha Better Records. We start off our list of 10 best Cameroonian musicians 2019 with him.
He began his music career as a gospel singer. He was lead singer of the gospel group “The Breakthru Voices”. They came out with an audio Album titled: LORD I’M SORRY. He later joined this thrilling vocal group of 4 (Salatiel,Rude Bway,Myra & Blaise B) called DA-THRILL the winners of the Nescafe African Revelation 2010 in Senegal-Dakar ,a musical competition involving 8 different African countries. They came out with an audio Album titled: NEW DAWN.
As a group, they performed on the same stage with: Flavour, Serge Bernaud, La fuine, Zaho, Kerry James, Coco Argente, Dj Jacob, Boro Sangui Dj, Meiway and Dara G.
In February 2013, he created a record label called “Akwandor Music where he works as a producer/beat maker/record/studio Engineer.
Blaise B’s breakthrough came in November 2014 when he produced and released the audio of his first Hit single ‘”EPOSI’”. This track made him popular in the 237 music industry. The video of EPOSI came later in 2015.
In January of 2016, he released “I Must To Marry You. In October of the same year, he released “Clando“featuring Mr. Leo and Salatiel. The song was produced thanks to a successful collaboration between Akwandor Music owned by Blaise B and Alpha Better Records.
In April 2017, he released the song titled “Front & Back“. In September of the same year, he dropped “Pour Moi“.
In January 2018 he graced the urban music arenna with the release of “On Fait Comment “directed by the award-winning Buea based video director Dr. Nkeng Stephens. He also released No tomorrow, Mama and was part of the We need peace song and Higher Higher Christmas carol in 2018.
In 2019, he has released Mon mieux and Le Gout de Ca.

Magasco AKA Bamenda Boy who hails from Kom in the North West region of Cameroon was born in Bamenda in 1988.
He started with a group of rappers in 2000 called “T-Drops” with longtime besties DaBlu and Klone.At the beginning of his career Magasco worked with label (Mumak) where after releasing his debut single Line loba (land rover),same exposure let him to be signed under a huge Cameroonian urban label Empire Company of Pit Baccardi.
In 2013, Magasco was nominated for “Best Urban
Artist” for Cameroon. He did not win but kept his head high for better
achievements. Later in 2015, he released Wule
bang bang which brought him to the limelight.
Still in 2015, he released another hit Belinda which was quite successful as well.

8. Tzy Panchak
Itz tzyyy Panchaaako
Etah Tambe Nyenti born on Feb 27, better known by his stage name Tzy Panchak, is a Cameroonian Afro-Pop sensation who holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Calabar, Nigeria.
A lot of people got to know of him when he did Kriss Daniels’ Woju “madu” cover in 2015. He later got signed to Blue nation and since then, he has been unstoppable.
Tzy Panchak has performed in shows all over Cameroon and has a massive fan base in the USA. He released his first official single titled Makaveli under new label Blu nation.
In 2017, he released mad 4 Yu’ luv, like that, ngueme, makaveli and Stay with Me. The success rate these tracts got was amazing. They trended across cities in Cameroon for several months.
He 2018, he released I’m Not Lucky and Woman Crush. His most recent tracts are Na So, For Life and Goretti all released in 2019.
Le Mfiang Le Way Le Yamoooo
Tenor Ebanflang , whose real name is Mengoumou Ayia Thierry was born on April 11 1998 in the city of Yaoundé.
Tenor’s musical career began in 2014 when he was just 16. That year, he released his first title, a freestyle called Cameroonian. His first single Alelouyah was later released in 2015; but it’s the song Do le Dab released in 2016 that brought him to the limelight.
In 2016, he joined the War Machine label, with which he released the song Do le Dab , which met with great success. With Do le Dab, he got nominated for the 2016 edition of Canal 2’Or in the revelation of the year and popular song categories. Though, he didn’t win, he got the First Lady of Cameroon Mrs. Chantal Biya dancing to his song at the event.
In 2016, he released Nathalie which was inspired by a book by Nathalie Koua, ex-girlfriend of Cameroonian footballer Samuel Eto’o .
In 2017, he released the songs Kaba Ngondo and Bad Things and collaborated with Mani Bella on Déranger and late DJ Arafat on Chicotter Tympans. With these titles, he won 3 awards at the Balafon Music Awards, the revelation of the year, Artist of the Year and Best Clip of the Year.
In May 2018, he released his first EP, a project of 7 titles entitled Nnom Ngui. He equally organized a successful popular concert at the Yaoundé Conference still in 2018. He is on position number 9 on our Top 10 Best Cameroonian musicians.
The Mboko King, President of Mboko Gang is on number 6 on our top 10 best Cameroonian musicians 2019 list.
His real name is Ndukong Godlove Nfor and he was born in October 1983. Jovi brought a new dynamic to the Conventional Cameroon music industry which at the time was basically just makossa and bikutsi.
Jovi’s first single “Don 4 Kwat”, followed by “Pitié”, featuring Congolese musician Tabu Ley Rochereau, released under Mumak record label, which he co-founded, is part of a new wave of musical content in Cameroon. “Don 4 Kwat” received heavy airplay on Trace TV and Channel O, his second single, “Pitié”, stayed on the charts for months on pan-African BBC’s Destination Africa hosted by DJ Edu, staying in the top 5 at its peak. In January 2013, Jovi left Mumak record label to launch New Bell Music, with Rachel Burks. Both Jovi and Rachel are signed to their label New Bell Music.
In September 2014, Jovi released his video Mets l’argent à terre which received a wide acclaim across Cameroon. In December 2014, Jovi released his video Et P8 Koi, which became a hit across French-speaking Central and West Africa, getting heavy rotation on Trace Urban, and debuting at No. 1 on Trace Urban’s premiere episode of “Hip Hop 10 Made in Africa.”
In 2015, Jovi was nominated for an MTV Africa Music Award (MAMA) for Best Francophone artist. On May 20, 2015, Jovi released his sophomore album, Mboko God, which was nominated for a 2016 Kora Award for Best Album.
Jovi also produces music for artists in New Bell Music as well as for international artists. Jovi co-wrote and co-produced Akon’s song “Shine the Light,” which Akon released as a video on January 26, 2016. Jovi has been regularly featured in the online music magazine OkayAfrica.
Jovi’s third album, 16 Wives, was released on February 16, 2017. On June 30, 2017, Jovi’s 16 Wives was named as one of “The 30 Best Overlooked Albums of 2017. Jovi released his sixth EP Yaje Vol. 1: Black on August 27, 2017.Jovi is regularly featured in Apple Music Playlist and was interviewed on Beats 1 Radio’s first African music show “A-List-African Music” on Dec. 16, 2018. On February 16th, 2019, Jovi released his 4th studio album God Don Kam.
Jovi has one of the biggest and most prestigious fan base in Cameroon music known as mbokogang.
5. Stanley Enow
Banyagi Boy Stanley Enow was born in Bamenda. He is on 5th position on our list of 10 best Cameroonian musicians 2019.
This is certainly one artist who completely took the entire Cameroon by storm in 2013 with his debut Hein Pere. Trace TV was impressed and labeled him “African music Revelation of the Year. The “Hein Pere” music video won the award for Best Video of the Year at the 2013 Balafon Music Awards.The song was ranked at number 1 on Reverbnation’s Cameroon list, and on Trace Africa. The remix of the song features South African artist F.A.B. Stanley Enow’s second single “TumbuBoss” (“Toumbou Boss Deluxe”) was released in April 2014.
At the first Cameroon Academy Awards in 2013, Stanley Enow took home two awards: Male Artist of the Year and Urban Artist of the Year. He is the only Cameroonian to have been nominated for the MTV Africa Music Awards, where he won the Best New Act award in 2014. He also won Best New Act and was nominated for Best Male Central Africa at the 2014 African Muzik Magazine Awards.
Enow released “TumbuBoss” as the second single from his debut studio album, Soldier Like My Papa. The music video for the song was shot and directed by Shamack Allharamadji.
In March 2014, S. Enow told Pulse Nigeria that he worked with Nyanda on the song “In The Middle”, which was produced by Jamaican producer Black Lion. On 5 October 2014, he released the music video for “Njama Njama Cow”, which was directed by Shamack Allharamadji.
In 2015 at the Canal D’or Awards, he was nominated for 4 awards. His song “Njama Njama” Cow remix was nominated for Best video. He was also nominated for Artist of the Year. He won Best New Act and Best Urban Artist.
My Way in 2018 has equally been very successful. Good Day (Fire) in 2019 has been trending for months now.
4. Ko- C
Give Me The Mic…
Born on November 18, 1992, in Kumba, Cameroon, Collins Njang started singing at 20. He recorded his first song “Town player” with friends. In July of 2015, he became a signed artist of BTS Empire, a U.S based Record label. His first release was with the group P.I.M boys in a song titled Ici Au Kamer which gained much love from fans. Many have described him as the fastest growing Rapper in 237.
KO-C got signed to RM Music and released “Balancé” in 2016. In January 2017, KO-C officially became an artist of Big Dreams Entertainment label .He released the sounds like Let me go , I Love You featuring Locko , Bollo and Caro .
In 2018, he won the Urban Jamz Best New Artist Award and participated in a campaign against violence on women and girls alongside other influential urban music artists.
Still in 2018, KO-C did a remix of his hit Balance with Tenor after signing a contract with the westsi2 corporation. The love love and acceptance the song released was amazing.
In November 2018, he released Sango featuring Fanicko. Sango which is more Gospel oriented received even greater love and acceptance.
Highly appreciated for his style of dress and music, many fans say KO-C is on track to become the star of African rap artists.
3. Mr. Leo

Almost everyone knows him by his stage name Mr. Leo but his real name is Fonyuy Leonard Nsohburinka. He was born on August 21 in 1990. He is on number 3 on our top 10 best Cameroon musicians list.
Mr.Leo’s professional career started when he signed a recording deal with Alpha Better Records in 2015, in the same year, Alpha Better records released his debut single hit song titled E go Beta and in November same year, Alpha Better released another of Mr.Leo single title On Va Gérer. These two powerful hits brought Mr. Leo to fame. The hits equally help in shaping and advancing the Cameroonian urban music industry.

He was nominated for the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in Lagos, Nigeria 2017 edition in the category of Best Male Central Africa. He became the brand ambassador of Itel Mobile Cameroon in March 2017.
Charles Arthur Locko Samba know by his stage name as Locko was born on May 8 1992 in Yaounde.
His voice is amazing and out of this world and his songs… ummm.
In 2014, he joined the Big Dreams Entertainment Label and recorded his first song Perfect Girl in collabo with the Numerica. In 2015, he released his first solo single Margo. In 2017, French magazine Paris Match n Cameroonian RnB revelation of the year named him Cameroonian RnB revelation of the year.
His first EP titled Skyzo was released in December 2015. It contains the hits Ndutu , Margo and Sawa Romance. In 2016, he released Supporter in collaboration with Mr Leo. The song was a huge success on the continent.
In 2017, he participated in the Coke Studio Africa show 2017 in Nairobi, sponsored by American singer Jason Derulo , alongside artists Youssoupha , Kiff No Beat , Chris Shado and Ozane . He was the second Cameroonian artist after X-Maleya in 2016, to be invited to take part in this prestigious Pan African show.
He has been nominated for several awards including Best male urban artist, Best musical revelation and Best video (Ndutu) at the Canal D’or Awards in 2017. Still in 2017, his song Thank You Lord got nominated for Best Divine Inspirationand Supporter ft Mr. Leo got nominated for Best Collabo at The Ballafon Music Awards. Still in 2017, he got nominated at AFRIMMA for Best Male Central Africa.
He equally got nominated this year at Canal D’or for Best male artist.

Salatiel Livenja Bessong was born on December 26, 1986 in Tiko. He is not only the finest musician in Kamer but he also producer and founder of Alpha Better Records label.
In 2010, with Da Thrill, he won the first place in Cameroon and the second in Africa at the Nescafé Africa contest. In 2013, he founded his label Alpha Better Records. His first breakthrough came with Fab Kollo in 2015. Between 2016 and 2017, he released Ça se passe Ici, La femme de ma galère, Toi et moi and others.
In 2018 he released Rembourser, Comme ça, We Need Peace, Higher-Higher, One by One and Weekend. The success rate these hits have got has been super amazing.
Salatiel boasts of having “arranged at least three thousand songs of different styles, produced albums for three hundred artists” in the space of ten years.
In 2019, he released Anita, a song which just like other previous songs is soul touching and educative. He also released Toujours and Ayagayo.
After Cameroon and Africa, thanks to his great success Toi & Moi in 2017, he reaches international acclaim at almost 32 years, when Beyoncé offered him an opportunity to participate in the album The Gift , soundtrack of movie The Lion King – remake of Disney’s eponymous animated film – released in 2019. Working with Beyonce is arguably the biggest achievement in Salatiel’s music career.
He is not our #1 just because of his great achievements but more importantly because of the incredible quality of songs he has released over the years. He deserves first position on our 10 best Cameroonian musicians 2019 list.
