His Lordship Andrew Nkea Fuanya is the new Archbishop of the Bamenda Archdiocese.
The former bishop of Mamfe has been appointed by Pope Francis as the archbishop of Bamenda, effectively making him the head of 5 dioceses which constitutes the Bamenda ecclesiastical Province.
Bishop Nkea replaces His Lordship Cornelius Fontem who goes on retirement at the age of 76, following Canon Law.
The announcement was made today Monday December 30 2019 in Bamenda.
His appointment comes 24 hours after the appointment of His Lordship Michael Bibi as the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Buea.
